The Tepley Hannah Rachmel Equity Award honors the joyful life of baby Tepley, who passed away unexpectedly in March 2019 at 20 months. Tepley's mom, Allison, inspired and encouraged Yea to lead a life of service to others during their Georgetown days together. The values of kindness and inclusivity were passed on to Tepley by her mom and dad, and this scholarship will keep the light and joy of her life alive by helping young people live up to their full potential.
The Tepley Hannah Rachmel Equity Award offers need-based scholarships to deserving students in our community who would not otherwise be able to receive coaching due to financial reasons. The award that will be granted in 2020 is a full scholarship for this year's Transition to High School Course. This scholarship will provide a rising 9th grader the tools to succeed in the transition from middle school to high school during their first semester in high school.
This is a nomination-based scholarship, meaning that a student must be nominated by a teacher, counselor, or educator. To nominate a student who demonstrates kindness, inclusivity, and service to others, and who also has a financial need, please click here. The deadline for nominations is Friday, July 31st, 2020.
