- An intake session with the student and parent(s) to gather information about the student’s academic background, activities, interests and preferences for high school.
- A review of your student’s list of target schools and support with finalizing this list.
- A personalized timeline and task list for the admissions process.
- Recommendations for standardized test preparation, if applicable.
- Guidance on how to complete the parent and student portions of the application.
- Help with brainstorming student essay topics, as well as with the writing and editing process.
- Advising students on whom to ask for recommendations and how to communicate these requests to teachers.
- Assistance with creating a comprehensive list of your student’s extracurricular activities, honors, and awards, as well as any supplemental material to be submitted with the application (such as an art portfolio).
- Review of Learning Plans, 504s, and any other reports and evaluations relevant to the application process.
- Advice on how to approach parent essays, as well as support with the editing process.
- Interview preparation, including mock interviews and stress-reduction techniques for the day of the interview.
- Ongoing support for students and parents throughout the application process.
